Years later and now working for the landowner as a governess, Elisabeth (Marceau)
meets her lover again. At first the two keep apart for the sake of the child and
the memory of his beloved wife. But soon, the child becomes a reminder for
both Elisabeth and Charles (Dillane) of the love they once shared and the loneliness
consumes them once again by the firelight. However beautiful this sene may be,
it ultimately leaves an empty feeling because the constant reminder of the movie's
title could leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth.
