In a moment of character insight, Anais(de Medeiros) reveals a
nightmare she had about June(Thurman) making love to her,
only to have June shift to Henry's Whore(Lahaie), who looks
vaguely masculine. But in the dream, she is masculine, penetrating
Anais with her penis and when it is over, she asks, "Aren't your glad?".
The question lingers since it questions her sexual preference. Does
she love men, women, or some crude grey area between the two sexes.
