Hearing something outside, Mary(McInnery) gets up from her
bath and quickly puts on her gown. Little does she know that
the monster that haunts her future novel is haunting her
and her companions. Used elsewhere in other narratives, the
concept of nudity as a symbolic reference to vulnerability, is
present in this scene. However, it is too fleeting to be of any
purpose and therefore gratuitous in this movie.
